As speculated : EC was only doing what Cabinet decided in the scrapping of the indelible ink! AS speculated: EC is not independent and cannot run the election on its own-though it is the only body entrusted by Constitution to run legislative elections. As speculated: there will not be a transparent account of how the indelible ink was scrapped and RM2.4mil thrashed. As speculated : the police's story that there are people who smuggled in the indelible ink was a concoction. So the speculations have been vindicated. Keep speculating intelligently, Malaysians! Good chance you get it right!
Unlike its counterpart in KL/Selangor the Penang Chinese Assembly Hall is by contrast a muted presence in Penang -hardly speaking out on issues which concern Penangites despite its obvious wealth and assets. The only time people hear about it is when someone use its big hall (at RM3000/night) for big gatherings. Is that all they can do?

Bumiputra property can be sold: Perak MB
By HAH FOONG LIAN
IPOH: The Perak government will release unsold bumiputra housing lots for sale in the open market to overcome the problem of "overhang stock" in the state.
As its first step towards the move, the state government has approved the release of 130 units of those lots, valued at some RM5mil, to be sold at the 2008 Malaysia Property Expo (Mapex) launched here on Friday.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin said the state government had, in principle, agreed to release unsold bumiputra units for sale in the open market to overcome the problem of oversupply.
It should be the BN who are worried about `hopping' -but it takes EC to suggest anti-hop law! Wonder why they should be more worried while in the past they just watched while Opposition MPs hop over to BN!
